This in turn prevents stuttering where bandwidth is a problem. The selling point of ArcWelder is that you can greatly reduce the number of gcode commands by converting multiple G0/G1 commands to G2/G3 commands. On the other hand there's not really and advantage to using ArcWelder with Klipper. Keeping the controls in the slicer give you the ability to make this adjustment and preview the resulting gcode. This is an acceptable trade-off for some models but not for others. Reducing the resolution can speed up a print since it reduces the number of corners. In addition to lap seam welding, seam welding has variations such as butt seam welding that continues heating butted surfaces by applying pressure and passing a welding current to weld the seam, and mush seam welding that uses roller electrodes to mush up slightly overlapped edges of base materials by passing an electric current and applying pressure to weld the seam continuously.Practically speaking, if you do it in the slicer it's easier to change the resolution when needed and allows you to preview the sliced model before printing. Practical applications include welding parts or sections requiring leak tightness or waterproofing such as fuel tanks. Since sparks are not produced during welding, there are no safety problems and no need for protective equipment. This is cost effective because the welding speed is fast and no gas is used. Making a line of overlapping spot welds ensures leak tightness. The method is also called lap seam welding. A current is passed while the electrodes are rotated, and the heat generated by electrical resistance joins the weld materials continuously. Weld materials are held from above and below with circular electrodes.
